My buddy has 4 HID's mounted on the roof of his buggy, 2 flood 2 spot, he has the spots pointed straight out and the floods turned a little to the side and he's not able to out run them.

Jeff I don't think you want flood on your roof at all. Just get 3 spot and 3 euro.

They make a euro and a spot, but I am sure their spot is not as narrowed as others.

edit: spot is the bottom because the reflector is smooth

you might want to run at least one flood up top, when i had 5 spot beam hid's on a roof rack they worked great for distance but left a little to be desired as far as filling in corners and close stuff. however if you also have the 30" then you might as well go all or mostly spot as it will take care of the nearby fill

I drilled out the cone shaped hole in the spindle and ran a regular bolt through it.

That's probably not the right answer but it's worked for me for a while. I was sick and tired of that angled bolt turning, which would throw toe off. With a straight bolt that is not possible.

I'll measure for you tomorrow, it's dark out and sub-zero with wind chill right now.

It's the same diameter as the bolt hole on the outer heim joint on the tie rod. I didn't change anything on that, just drilled out the cone shaped portion in the spindle so I could use a regular straight bolt.

I use a nylon lock nut and I keep them tight, I can't detect any wiggle in the bolt/spindle joint. I had to hammer the bolts into the hole in the spindle; that's how tight of a fit it was. I forget what size drill bit I used.
