Hello, I having been contemplating a rim / tire / lift combo for a while now.

I have been looking at 16x8 Eagle 102 rims with a 3 5/8 backspacing but I am concerned with tire to flare / mudflap contact. I am planning on Bilstein adjustables set to 2.5" in the front and a 1.5" AAL in the back. I am also planning on using using 265/75/16 BFG ATs.

So I was wondering if anyone is run a combo like that and if they hit or stick out too much

    Thanks

I just got an email back from Sonny he usually sells the rears too but they are not going to be in for a while.

He said he sell me 5125 shocks in place of the 5100s for the rear. What is the difference?

I think the 5125 are an extended length.

So with the rear lift these would actually be better wouldn't it??

5125 for the rear with 8 and 8.5" travel are what you want for a lifted rear

Hi Mike long time no see

So all the 5125 are extended length anyway. The 8 and 8.5 would be the shorter travel. Longer only needed if the lift is bigger.

    word... i been hibernating... hahaha

8.5" would be good for rear lifts up to 1.75" (or 3" lift kits)

if you had a drop bracket lift, you would want the 10" travel...

u should be fine on ur year... although, you may want to do the pinch weld mod as you may have some rubbing while wheeling...

also, have your casters set at 1.5 to 2 degrees forward during alignment

I already fixed the pinch weld a couple years ago :D

so adjusting the casters would move the wheel forward?

yah, it changes the angle just enough to help the width of the tire clear the pinch weld ...

well I have 2 new concerns. First will a 1.5 AAL level my truck or will it sit nose high?

Also Toyota passed my frame for now and Im concerned about putting all this money in it if they aren't going to fix it. Anybody live in a state where they aren't going the undercoating???
