    yea that doesn't look too bad, but it wouldn't help me get it to the roof of the cab. onto the bed doesn't seem too bad though.

    perks of being 2 wheel drive lol

    Yeah the reason I ask about moving the tent on and off the truck is I can't install a way to pick it up in my apartment garage and I can't lift it myself due to some back issues.

    I appreciate the responses. It seems some of you leave the tent on 24/7 365.

    Only Homertaco i believe has done that. let me find a pic, there's nothing that'll really be big enough aftermarket wise as his fairing is custom.

    Billy at brute force is making me a roof rack that will act (sort of) as one. My fuel economy went out the window when I put my super swampers on. Just shut my eyes and fill up.

    That's what I was getting at: made/custom, not bought. I don't have a bed rack to measure/prototype on, but I can make a drawing showing a really simple way to make an inexpensive fairing using sheet metal. It's design would make it easy to install/remove and be fairly stout, too.

    What are some good 0 degree sleeping bags? I slept in my RTT in December and I woke up fairly warn but if I could better and wake up even warmer i would do that as well

    I have a eureka bag that I bought from cabelas I'm in love with it. Forget which model it is but it's perfect for one person.

    I used it the night of the virginia show and I was comfortable in shorts and a tshirt

    Find the military arctic bags. They are awesome. A buddy of mine hooked me up with one. I can sleep in 0* with just socks on and be warm. Check army surplus spots. Or keep an eye out at REI and other outfitters for sales.
