I think we've definitely hit the mark where it's gonna be cheaper to rent this place out exclusively for 24hrs. What time do we want to start that? 10:00a-10:00a?

If we're already paying to rent the place, I don't think he'll charge me for it. He's a pretty cool guy.

I might just stay at my brother's house in College Station on Friday night if no one else is gonna get there till Saturday Morning.

Hey just putting out some feelers if you all would be interested in having a meet around FT Hood in late October early November.

It would be $15.00 for a year long back country access pass to Ft Hood. It would be on a Saturday to Sunday so all you would need to get on the post is an drivers license shown at the front gate. We would have a trail guide that knows all the really good areas to go for free. We could either rough it for free or we could get the group camp area at BLORA. I haven't priced BLORA since it depends on the quantity of people.

There are over 400 miles of trails on post and they are all open for off roading on the weekends. The $15.00 permit is good all year. There are several lakes in the back areas that we can stop off at and camp or fish at.

I will start getting the Hood meet together then. Ft Hood is only about an hour north of Austin. It should be alot cooler by then so that is a great thing.

Let me know how you all will want to do the camping. We can either rough it or I we can do a group thing at BLORA.

The great thing about this is once you have the off road permit you can use it at any time. You dont have to be in the military to use it.

I leave on Tuesday for Virginia for two months but will be back the first week of October.

Sorry about that. Yes it is what Silverback said. It is a pretty nice area to camp and play in the water.

I am going out to there today or tomorrow to get prices and all that.

It just means that you can't get any bills!!

Hey did some checking on the FT Hood pass. All you need to do is fill out some information and pay a $15.00 fee and you are good for the whole year. You also don't need a military ID to get one so anybody can use it. Since we are going to do it on a Saturday you wont need to get a pass to get on post. Just show your drivers license.

I just need to know if you all want to camp or just make it a day thing.

    Let me know!!

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
I will be bringing even more soda and chips.

When will the majority of people be arriving? Saturday AM?
