If you got decent foams no need to run foamless unless you have a super stiff sidewall tires.

Meh, yolo..... [IMG] It is my DD so I want reliability over all, turbo will make plenty of more power but im not wanting to go that far, im looking for 260-300whp which I can easily achieve with a sc.

gah! blew some teeth off the spiders in the rear diff of the summit. gotta say, with how much power the 1/8 brushless setup puts down and how much I've been running it, I'm surprised and pleased that I've gone this long without having a failure like this.

downside is that I had to take half of the truck apart to get to the diff.

Your not wrong, I see your point but for me a sc is the way to go. Had I had my way and a extra 30-40k laying around I'd drop a ls3 in it :D.

True but still gets expensive quick. Just the complete kit to do the motor swap so all you need is motor and trans is $9k. Id love to do it and set it up to get around 450-500hp, that much hp in a car that would weight about 2600lbs would insanely fun to drive. Maybe someday when I got the money and nothing better to do ill go for it but definitely not anytime soon.

you seal it up, or are you content with it's "waterproofness" out of the box?

just reassembled the diff, and not have to put the entire truck back together. probably won't get the diff in until the morning, so i'll seal it up if you've had water intrusion in stock form.

guess i'll tear into the servo in the morning then to seal it all up. the summit goes full submarine pretty frequently.

little silicone and grease in the right places should have me all waterproofed up. plugged it in to test it and it turns out i'll need a BEC to run it anyway, so no point in installing it yet, regardless.

My savox buzzes like crazy and its very annoying. But i just coated the board with die electric grease and the same on the gears and around the horn. There is a o ring already on the shaft in front of the bearing but i added another on the shaft behind the horn and called it good. If it dies i wont have to listen to it anymore and ill buy something else.

It was actually a pretty shitty flight, don't think I scored well on it or that weekend at all.
