From my research they would have to beat $145.99 w/free shipping (20' rope) for the GB to work.

Not to hyjack---but here's the one I made tonight. D56AB88B-F29F-4033-B1FB-DC0EB8C0EE28_f8c000f3d4097809242057a2993a757b1bda4d12.jpg

I have an assortment of colors, and for the first 5 guys who buy one, I can offer a deal of $80+shipping for a 20' rope. In turn, I ask that y'all use them and report back. It's a hell of a deal for a rope that can hold a little over 20,000 lbs.

Well they're price seems a tad high tbh. And the is coming from a guy who is a professional Splicer that works for the one of the biggest rope companies in the world. But that might be cuz I get the rope for free and can make the eyes myself

The expansion of the rope is key in the design of the Bubba Ropes. I have one and it’s a great product and stretches like a rubber band. How do you think your rope compares? If it’s not stretching like the Bubba is then it’s really just a rope that will work similar to that of a strap.

Also the loop and amount of overlap is important, can you provide more information surrounding the construction of yours?

Also how did you determine the rating, have you done testing to ensure both the rope and the loop (the weak link) can support the kind of weight you indicate it can.

Buying from a company that specifically produces a product that is meant for recovery I'm pretty sure a lot of testing and R&D is done. The manufacturing process is likely set-up in such a way that ensures consistency in construction. Quality checks are likely also set-up and after all said and done a QC inspector probably inspects each rope. This is done to help prevent failure and more importantly keeps the user safe. Should something go wrong and someone is injured using your rope and the failure is due to a flaw in the rope, how would you handle the end result?

Just some things for you to consider before selling ropes.

The price of these ropes is up there, but one has to consider the manufacturing process and quality controls that are in place which may justify the added expense.

I'm not a shop that's pumping these out. I'm just another member who has access to high tech line at a good price and I have the ability to splice these loops. My profession is in the industry, but I am not a professional splicer. I'm offering such a good deal for the first 5 guys to try these out for me. I know how they hold up under what I put them under--now I'm branching out to other people's uses. I don't anticipate any horrific event occurring because of these--and the splice is (in theory) rated higher than the load of the line--not the "weak link". If you don't want to purchase one, that's not a problem. In fact, I appreciate your bringing these issues up. I am not Bubba Rope, nor am I affiliated. But, I can assure everyone that this line is top quality and sells retail for over $5.00/foot. This will not stretch like a bubba rope, but you can expect a great life out of the strap because of the dyneema core and polyester cover.

These may not be for everyone, but I AM trying to help people out with a good deal--in turn I ask that people give me feedback on the product.

Wait so this is just normal rope its not kinetic in any way shape or form, or is it just not as strechy as bubba?

It's just not as stretchy. There is still stretch. Dyneema has low stretch and high strength. Nylon has high stretch and low strength. They use large diameter nylon core to hold the load and stretch. But, for a thinner diameter line you get the same strength, just lower stretch.

Yep totally cool and I'm sure the rope you are selling is great, looks real nice from the pic. I was just maybe offering some clarification on the two and helping to justify (maybe???) the price point of the bubba rope.

Nearly all ropes and straps stretch, it’s the amount of stretch which is key in the design. The stretch works great for a lot of applications, but in certain situations a not so stretchy rope/strap is better.

In sand the bubba has worked wonders for me and in the mud it’s the go to before moving to a winch. Getting high centered on a big ass rock, some beefy ass straps will get the job done.

The stretch allows the puller to gain some momentum before extreme tension is enforced. The stretch also helps to ease the jolt when being pulled. Once that rope is stretched out its like two freaking trucks are pulling you vs. one. Really simple concept and works great.
