AUF ROWD, thanks I saw that. I only need to remove the lower gray section. I have popped all the snaps loose, took out the two bottom screws. It is loose all the way around, but feels like something between the steel bumper and plastic is holding it. It is a tight fit in there so I do not see how they can be anything holding it in place at that point.

I have felt and looked at it, but cannot see anything holding it.

Beginning a complete paint correction, polish and wax on my '06 Black Pearl. Started with 4 hours on the tailgate. I'm retired from full time work so I detail as a hobby.

Last night the Tacoma decided it wanted a new rear window. It spontaneously just shattered the rear passenger side panel of the slider. Sucky for me because I got to remove the flatbed for it to get a new window.

Ordered another set of BFG AT K/O's. I am using another shop then my usual after getting the run around from the guy on the phone at my usual. My usual shop is Goodyear but they installed BFGs for me without a problem 3 yrs ago. Today the guy starts with how expensive the BFG's are and he needs to call me back with the price. He calls back and is focusing on how the price went way up from when I bought them 3 years ago. I ask about Duratracs to see what he could do for a Goodyear tire and again he has to call me back. He calls back with a list of other tires that are Goodyears but not the price for the Duratracs. One model was just as expensive as the BFG's. When I asked him again for the price on the Duratracs, he mumbled something. I hung up and called another local shop. The guy had the price for me within a minute and ordered the tires within 5 minutes from picking up the phone. I might have a new tire shop depending on what happens.

Installed my license plate bracket by NoDrillBrackets. It is such a clever product; very simple and incredibly effective. I can't compliment the design enough. Looks good on the truck. Now to fill in the previous mounting holes...

Several small things today - cleared up the short in my fog lights.

    y6uje4aj_42e73f0f67a26138f4862fae5f7e3f1ce10f8ef7.jpg

Replaced my tag lights. Didn't even know they were out until a few weeks ago when a friend was following me and told me they were both out.

Used some industrial Velcro to attach my pocket-gun holster inside my console. Keeps it much more accessible and cleans things up a bit. Simple and effective.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of carwashes. I hate what it does to the black plastics over time. My truck has only been washed by me by hand since new. During winter I hit up the do it yourself places and powerwash all the crap off. But not being this cold though. Not worried about the salt till its close to or above freezing.
