Sounds like you already know what you want. I came from a Frontier (98' 4x4 SE 4cyl). When I was looking for a truck again, I also looked at a Nismo Frontier. I wanted the stance of a preRunner but didn't think I could afford the Tacoma I wanted. Make a long story short, I extended my loan for an extra year & well the rest is history. The only thing I had to do was transfer/reactivate the personalized plate.
Im sure we all have little things we don't like about the Tacomas, but they out way everything I do like about them.

Just an update. God the dealer tracking down a 4x4 access cab in Magnetic grey with the TRD sport package. Don't know about everywhere else, but around here getting a magnetic grey access cab with either TRD package is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Welcome to TW! And you will be happiest with the Tacoma.

I love my 05. It has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. All I have had to do is gas, oil, brakes, & tires. And with 122,000 miles it is still going strong.:D

Checkout carsdirect.com or edmunds.com for pricing. And to find out any rebates or dealer incentives. Carsdirect is great!

You know, I just traded my '08 Accord EX-L with a seven speaker "premium" sound system that included a 8" deck mounted subwoofer and the JBL system blows it away by far. I can only speak for the double cab system but I am happy with the system. Yes, it has it's limitations but it is not that bad. Probably a speaker swap would make a noticeable improvement.

Will do. Should have a few tonight.

Thanks for the info. Ended up getting one without the JBL in it. I'll probably look to do a speaker swap/small sub later on(set up I have from my Impala is too big) but there are other things I'd like to get first before I worry about audio.
