Short box vs Long box

So I just found out I have the long box. I'm not sure how to feel about this.

I just feel like.... My whole life has been a lie. I always looked at my box and wondered how you couldn't fit a dirt bike or something back there.

I thought the ORs only came in short box?

 

DC Offroad is 5' bed

AC Offroad is 6' bed

 

Well I'm glad I have the long bed lol. It was cramped when I went camping it would have been way tighter with the SB.

 

I might be the best authority on this topic at the moment since just today, I traded in my DCLB for a DCSB. I drove to work in the lb and drove home in a SB.

Aaaannnnndddddd..... Short bed is awesome!!!! Short bed wins!!

Don't get me wrong.. Both are great trucks. But I am much happier with the short bed just from a driving perspective.

 

Why?

 

It all depends on what you use the truck for to be honest

 

Long bed all day. Don't know any other way

 

Short bed just feels more " nimble" I'm not looking in my rear view non stop making sure I swung around something. Nicer to park.. Fits in my garage and won't have to do a 10 point turn 13,000feet up a mtn on a switch back lol

The 5' bed will be plenty of cargo room for anything I need plus I have a m-416 trailer that if I had to tow behind the the lb would be a hell of a train! With the SB I can ( in my mind) have a manageable length truck trailer combo.

Just my opinion.

 

Interesting how the long bed has only a little more length, but can carry so much more tools and equipment if you use the truck to work. Kind of a "sum of parts greater than whole" type thing. Plus, long beds are impressive when properly lifted and set up with proportionate wheels/tires.

All depends on what you want...

Again, you SB guys with your trailers and inability to drive...

 

SB or not, trucks and trailers go together like peas and carrots. If you doubt this, I call in to question your manhood and suggest you turn in your testicles to the dude sheriff.

 

Gotcha,my next one will probably be a longbed(hopefully a redesigned 2015)but only downside is the longbed will not fit in my garage..
