The Outer Banks of North Carolina, Carova Beach is runs from the VA / NC line south a dozen miles or so. The pics of my wife's Highlander is down at Daytona Beach.

Here are some video of Carova Beach from this week...

A little of this and a little of that.
Great pictures & videos. I've vacationed several times in Duck. It's been years though, need to get back up there soon.

that is awesome, my family was down there when it snowed. wish I could have made it.

the first few pics I posted were in carova, just north of corolla "where the pavement ends". The rest were on pea island, its in between the Oregon inlet and hatteras. This is all on the Outer Banks in North Carolina.

$250 worth of tow truck later and I was out of that quick sand. It was weird and shelly, sank right in with the KM1s aired down to 10 PSI.

    Too close for comfort!

Surprised you had issues going all the way down to 10 psi.

I went down to 12 psi I and did not feel like I was in any danger of getting stuck. I also drove like there was a eggshell under my go peddle, kept from digging in.

Missed going to OBX this year but parents bought a real nice place in Myrtle Beach, not going to look a FREE gift horse in the mouth!

Sadly no driving on beach in SC, but can drive a bit further north to Carolina beach, however not nearly as nice a Carova.

I just spent a week in OBX. Stayed in Corolla at one of the Beach rentals. Had some great times on the 4x4 beach. It amazed me some of the asshats that took their 2wd vehicles on the beach, then got surprised when they got stuck.

I wish I would have had my Tacoma with me. Some guy in a armored and lifted 2nd gen was making a killing pulling aforementioned idiots out of the deep sand.
