No it's the back spacing that makes the difference.

If you're just going to be on the road you probably won't rub and won't need to do a CMC but I'm sure you'll need wheel spacers to clear the UCA's with OEM 16's or 17's. it's another $175 for 4 and a lot of guys use them, not a big deal.

Guys, I am looking at getting a leveling kit soon. Are there any pics with just the front lifted and nothing done to the rear? 2.5 or 3"? Or will it look stupid?

first pic is definitely loaded down. And I am sure the 2nd gen has full drop, uca, spindle etc. I am just looking to do a 2.5"-3" leveling kit. Either with billys, spacer or whatever you all recommend.

Yeah, the top pic looks like the rear shocks and leafs are about to pop lol

Billies with stock springs in the front, if you're trying to save money. If not, Billies and Eibach springs. Either option will give you 3" of lift in the front. I have billies and eibach's and I love the combo! For the rear, to get the 3", you just throw in an AAL, which you would skip, since you're wanting the front to sit higher.

That's what 99% of people on here do to achieve a cheap, quality 3" lift. A lot of people run OME coilovers in the front, too....but that's an entirely different debate lol

Thank you! How much are billies and eibach springs? Don't the sport models come with billies? Or they aren't the adjustable ones?

I think all Tacoma's come stock with Billie's, but they're not the adjustable ones.

If you have a 1st gen, the Eibach's are $163.99 and the Billies are $199.99

If you have a 2nd gen, the Eibach's are $163.99 and the Billies are $219.99

I think if you call, they might give you a TW discount, too.

Can you all tell if I have a level yet? Or is this what the stock pre-runners look like?
