I ended up having to sell it. I ran into some financial binds and it didn't make sense keeping it since I could get a good chunk of change for it. I sure do miss it though and on the lookout for the next one.

I'm thinking of doing 4.56 since you can get them stock with a locker so if I can get them cheap enough it would be a wash cost wise after selling my current diffs.

True. I am just ordering from ECGS and installing my lockright just to keep it cheap.

Anyone know if front seats from a 93 4runner will fit my 96 4runner? I need a new set bad and I found some through a friend for $100.

I'd say no, but maybe. I'd pull both seats and check the mounting points to see if they match up or close enough to fab something. Certain 2nd gen seats are SUPER comfortable, so it could be an upgrade.

A plastic crate would be an upgrade at this point.

I imagine they would match up, but I'll just have to test fit them and see. Here's hoping they do!!!:D

The thing I hate and don't trust the most about my 4Runner is the engine... So I think I'm going to buy a rebuilt unit from someone who is known to be quality and sell the old one.

What's my old motor going to go for?
173,000 miles, runs, new head gaskets, new passenger side head.

That sucks you don't feel confident in your engine. I'd say you could get $800 for it easy. With the new parts it might be a good thing or bad. People might be weary of it since it's had problems, but then again it does have new parts. I bet some guy trying to do a 3.4 swap would snatch it up.

takes like 30 mins to swap in a new gasket.
not really a problem, they all use the same material.
    change it.
    see above, 20 min job

the way i see it your engine is fine right now, all your problems are minimal.
