Seriously? $22k for a ten y/o truck with 154k miles on it? Granted, it's a great looking truck, clean and has all the goodies to be a hard core wheeler...but $22k?

I do realize that if you bought a stock one and built it up with the same stuff as this one has, you'd probably as much or more than this guy wants tied up in it, but it just seems to me he's trying to get everything he spent on the truck back out of it which is nuts. It's like trying to sell your 5 y/o used truck with 70k miles on it for what it sold for retail at the dealership when it was brand new.

Good point sir. I just noticed it has d44s not d60 so it loses it's appeal to me a bit due to that

Yea, getting better. Had hemorrhoid surgery a few weeks ago, and had a fantastic time at the check up appointment Friday as you can imagine. Then yesterday I stained a muscle in my back, thought I was getting better, went to Home Depot and collapsed in the nuts and bolts isle, had to sit there on the ground for a good 10 minutes trying to breathe and get myself up....it's been a disaster, but I'll be fine.

    Wedding things coming along nicely?

Jason - Looks like you had some fun yesterday, wish I could have come out to represent, but it's been heating pads and pajamas for me this month.

Yeah they normally go for 15k max. I assume hes trying to get KBB value for it plus the cost of the swap.

I'd almost guarantee that no bank is going to finance $22k on it, unless it's a signature loan, so he's probably going to have to wait for some fortunate soul that has a spare $10k or so in cash and is willing to take a loan out for the rest...or has about $20k in spare cash to burn and nothing better to spend it on. Not very many folks have that kind of spare cash. I'd wish him luck, but...his audacity kinda irritating. :p

Pretty sure just about no bank will touch that truck due to age and miles.

NADA lists it as worth $16,600 clean retail.

Not sure that matters. In my experience, it goes by what NADA says it's worth. That's the most they'll loan you for it. In this case, $16,600. If someone wanted to finance it, they'd have to cough up the balance out of their own pocket unless they took out a signature loan.

Most banks are sticklers for age and miles. They're concern is when not if it breaks and it's an expensive one that the owner will just stop paying.

I've financed a few older vehicles in the 10 y/o range with 100k+ miles on them. Never had a bank turn me down, but then I was mostly dealing with credit unions so I guess they were more willing to work with me. There was one truck I bought when I bought an ATV and needed something to haul it with that they wouldn't finance enough on. They were like $400 short of what the guy wanted. I was going to pass on it since I figured I didn't want to pay that much more than the truck was worth, but my wife at the time really wanted it so she convinced me to buy it by paying the difference out of her personal discretionary cash.

actually got a question about the 6'' lifts,

is it basically the same thing as a 4'' spindle lift and a 2'' spacer on top

or more like a 3'' and 3''? cuse that spacer looks kinda tall

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
It's 6 inch spacers and 6 inch spindles I believe. That way you keep your UCA at a decent angle too

can you clarify? you're saying the spindle will give 6'' lift by itself? and the spacer?

I am thinking it is a lesser spindle lift up front, and then a few inches on the spacer, and the rear I'm pretty sure is just a 4'' block

i'm sort of thinking about getting the maxtrac 4'' spindles and keeping my leveling kit (essentially a 1.5'' spacer) and adding an add a leaf to the back, and maybe going to a 2'' block, I was seeing what the real difference between the 6'' lift, and what i'm trying to frankenstein

If your truck is 2wd I'd just get the 4" spindles and get some coilover and crank em a little bit. You'll ggain ground clearance, and won't have that ugly crossmember hanging down there
