    Getting there...
When I was looking for a Taco last May-ish, I found a new 2013 Pyrite Mica TRD Off Road, no entune for like $32-33 OTD, so the price for that AC is waaay high. You may as well wait and look around for the one you want, even if you have to drive a bit for it. I have a friend that splurged on a 2013 white SR5, and kind of regrets it now because he could have gotten a better deal/truck elsewhere if he had waited.

These guys are in NorCal but they helped me find the EXACT truck I wanted and got it right at about invoice price. They actually ended up getting it in Reno, NV, but hey, it still got to me. They even shopped a loan for me, and gave me like 3% APR or something like that. Then no joke, they came to my doorstep with the truck and all the paperwork. I just signed and gave them my down payment.

I know you're in SoCal but they might be able to help you still

Ok to be clear: the 36K they quoted me was out the door, taxes and fees, I think it was like 32-3 without.. with TRD package. Although I think they were sticking me with a delivery fee of 800, I didn't even ask, just basically told them Id think abut it so I could get out of there. The more expensive truck my friend had that I prefaced in the first post for 39 plus change was also with taxes and fees.

I asked to see the invoice price and the guy got really dicky, told me they only make 1500 profit and he could show it to me but it wouldnt change things, and that he wasn't going to sell this on invoice… Ok fine but come on we can at least meet halfway. right? He was like "this isn't a camry or something nobody cares about, its a tacoma, they're so rare.. blah blah"

Ive called the Ven guys but they also clammed up at the talk of pyrite, wanted me to bite on grey.. Also read some bad reviews of the ventura dealership.. I was hoping to be out the door for 34 or 35 MAX since Id like to hold back the extra grand for tires, but who knows.

I built one on the Toyota site with your configuration for $31,680 (manual) or $32,660 (automatic) MSRP.

Your local stealerships sound like pricks though. Maybe you can negotiate to buy at their price if they include extended warranty or some other extra stuff. Otherwise if I were you I would go somewhere else or wait.

My 2010 DCSB Sport with 12miles was $30k with rust proofing.

I paid around $32k for my 2013 sport DCLB 4wd. Pyrite mica is exactly what I wanted.

I was in your same situation and wanted the exact same combination in my truck! (minus the entune) Fortunately I ended up with it!

Its a hard combination to come by, that's for sure.

A couple months ago I was playing around on the Toyota website and found out pyrite mica cant be select with an 14'/access cab/4x4/v6/trd off road???? So maybe the answer is they really don't make that combo?

I hope it works out for you tho!

I think I was doing the builds a month ago and they might not have been working with p.mica but they are now and it is available, dealer even said so. They tell me a tacoma plant shut down to make up for demand in tundras, so theyre only painting certain colors.... ? But the access cab is somewhat "rarer" maybe.

I have a 2007 tacoma that when coming to a stop ,you release brakes and the trany bangs like if the u-joints were loose. I have had to change the u-joints replaced because they were bad. the most weight i have carried in the truck bed was a beer cooler. is there a recall for this or this is common for the truck?

Get a Costco membership and order/build your rig to spec, down to the color - linky: http://www.costcoauto.com/enterzipcode.aspx?gotourl=/default.aspx

You'll probably have to wait 6 to 8 weeks, but like its been said, you shouldn't have to settle (it is your money). plus you'll save a few grand going through Costco.

    Good luck. :)

Ill look into the costco, don't have a membership currently, but likely worth the $50 if I can get a good deal on a truck? Does costco negotiate?

anyway, thanks everyone for the thoughts.

No, I believe it's a pre-negotiated price/discount but I was happy with the deal. A few hundred over invoice is what sticks out in my mind but don't quote me on that. If nothing else, you can build your truck to spec on the site and it spits out a price at the end. You could always take that price quote and for the hell of it, see if any of the stealerships can even come close w/o the Costco discount.

For reference, here in Northern VA I paid like $32 & change out the door for my 2013 DC OR manual with about 5 add-ons @ $1,600 (short-throw shifter, TRD exhaust, bug deflector, tube steps and wheel locks). But again, I didn't feel like I was getting bent over and had the exact truck I wanted down to the color.

Give it a whirl, and if nothing else you can always use your membership to stock up on Costco shit-paper for the year. :D

Why don't you just order one and wait on delivery? Granted, these trucks are hard to haggle on price because of their popularity let alone availability, dealers know it, but sometimes the consumer has to be realistic too. specific packages off the lot are hard to come by because dealerships sell to the masses. You.re already fighting an uphill battle because you want an access cab.Plus you want a trd? I do t think I've ever seen a trd access cab on the road....

I just went and picked up my truck and drove 300 miles to a dealership to get it. I got a 2013 sport double cab 4x4 and etune premium with nav for 28000 with about 25000 miles on it. I was looking for it for a long time and came across this and jumped on it instantly I waited about a year and a half to find the deal and the packages I wanted. Don't rush into it get what you want.

I just had the EXACT same problem you did! There were NO Pyrite Mica TRD Off Road 4x4 Access Cabs in the state of CA. I had to fly to Portland to pick mine up and drive her back. BUT if you are still looking Toyota of Berkley has the same model you want for $31,900 + TTL. You should definitely look into that. I believe their site is listing it as 2013 and Gray, but I called and confirmed it was a 2014 PM with someone. I found that one after I had already committed to mine, plus it was a bit more than what I paid in OR. I tried to negotiate with the guy and he wouldn't budge, which is strange as it is listed at MSRP on their site for that price. I would call them up and ask to speak to the Internet Sales Manager and see if you can get it around $31k.

    Good Luck!
