just playing around, doing some flips. it was intentional. I just like the photo because with the gopro set to take a photo every 2 seconds, I haven't gotten an inverted photo until now. guess I should flip slower.

retrofit an anti-jello mount from the blade 350 onto the phantom last night. hoping it helps in two way. 1, with the jello of course, but 2, I was able to mount this one farther forward than the stock mount, and it sits lower. should solve the issue of catching the landing gear and/or rotors/arms in the pictures and videos.

Colin Guinn has been fired from DJI...

On January 22, 2014. Colin Guinn and Dijiang North America, LLC ("Dajiang NA") sought a temporary injunction from the 200th District Court of Travis County, Texas against DJI to, among other things, prevent DJI HK from doing business with 31 identified customers (resellers)

Fired DJI CEO Colin Guinn is alive...All DJI Innovations products being imported into the United States are halted effective immediately..

it's kind of weird how everything is playing out... apparently the supply line between DJI USA and dealers is affected by the injunction... so basically, no new products can be imported by DJI USA and then given to dealers...

Maybe Motoxer (he's the DJI dealer) has some insight

No, it's all good. Just hate the misinformed media/public label of it as a drone.

gotta download the software and plug it into your computer with the usb housed in the battery compartment. you'll then go into the flight modes menu. currently your flight modes are:
    1-GPS
    2- ATTI
    3-ATTI

you'll want to enable manual mode, and set it in the #3 switch position.

GPS limits your tilt to about 30*, and ATTI is about 45*. in manual mode, your it is unlimited. much faster, much more agile, can do flips, and is MUCH easier to crash.

there are videos on their site and youtube that walk you through the steps.

Looking to get a quadcopter soon, for a few reasons.
    1. I've been watching to many videos and I am envious..
    2. I want to do some GIS (Geographic Information Systems) stuff with it. Mainly aerial photos.
    2. Just another gadget to play with.

I am looking to spend around $200 for a used one, or around $300 total for a new one including a gps, and a camera.
I will want to be able to set waypoints, and record gps coordinates with the Camera. (Have gps cordinates tied to camera photo). I want to be able to set a course, and or fly manually using the live video.

I would also prefer for it to be stand alone, (Have its own thing to control from, not from a phone) and have a battery life of 40 minutes or so...

What does everyone think??? and anyone selling one?

And yes it will be for recreational use.. :)

On the same note, does anyone have any forums they like that are newb friendly for this stuff?
