    First don't shoooooot!

I have read a bunch of threads but I'm not good with this. I bought the pioneer AVH5500 head unit now I need to get the rest of what I need to do the install.

Going to try the Scosche double din kit TA2111BPB Glossy black pearl.

    Factory USB port - AX-TOYUSB-2
    Steering wheel controls - ASWC-1
    What harness do I need - 70-761 for 87-up
What do I need for the parking brake bypass?
What do I need for my iPhone? is it going to be different from the 4s to a 5s? as I plan on upgrading my phone in a few months.

    Anything else I need/should get?

Any and all help is appreciated guys!

I believe the scosche harness is TA02B. Check ebay. When I bought my dash kit, they included the harness. $23 shipped for both. For the parking brake bypass, try the microbypass. They sell on ebay for $20. Works great. As for the iphone, pioneer sells a cable for the that. Check their site for the correct one. You'll need the firmware update from Pioneer in order to use it with an iphone 5.

Decide if you're going to crimp or solder the harnesses together. You'll need the proper tools for each. There's a few videos online showing how to do this. It's easy. Just time consuming. Took me two hours to solder all the wires and 15 minutes to install it all in the truck.

You can run the microphone behind the glovebox, up the A pillar, across the windshield headliner and clip it into the overhead console.

    Thanks man.

Do I need to use the scosche harness over the metra? I can't find the scosche double din kit anywhere but from them at this point. The original one they put out TA2111B was just a matte black and I can find that all over but I found now that they sell a black gloss pearl one to match stock TRD like the metra kit.

Also when using the pioneer iphone cable can I no longer just hook up through my stock USB port?

Either harness should work. If you want to use the iphone apps on the radio, you'll need the special cable from them.

It appears I'm being of no help. According to their site neither work for the 2012. I'll go back in the corner.

I have the same deck. For the video bypass, unfortunately, the relay trick that works on older Pioneer dvd units will not work with this unit. I ended up just putting a switch on the brake wire from ground. Works perfectly fine and I found that I almost never use it for video anyway. Good luck with the install.
