I took mine off roaring today. I'm in South Carolina duck hunting, and a guy in a Silverado got stuck, so my ass had to pull him out! Is it bad that I get a sense of gratification from pulling a 1/2 ton truck out with my 1/4 ton tacoma? Woo!

Fuck you all. And I had to pull out a brand new 6.7 dually cummins with a trailer and a buggy on a trailer at Dixie run. It was just a little slick and on a hill. Leave it to the Yota to pull out a POS cummins.

lol. Cummins is the best diesel on the road for 3/4 and 1ton trucks, better than a pussystroke any day. The newer trans seams to be doing a hell of a lot better than the old ones they used, and al round quality has gone up since they split from dodge.

also the 3500 dually is rated to tow 30,000 lbs, more weight than both ford and chevy, 7k+ pounds more than ford and chevy.

you can get a few different trans options. i think stock now they have a eaton trans. but you can get kits to put a allison to them.


also i kinda have a hard time believing this all together. the truck alone weighs more than the taco’s max towing. Also the trailer alone is probably half or 3/4 of the taco’s max towing plus a buggy? all together you probably talking 10,000 pounds or more. Not saying the taco could not do it. but i don’t thinking it’s going to happen on a hill and on wet ground.

 

You forget this happened in a mall parking lot.

Cummins are pigs. They make power easy but they also brake really easy. 7.3 over any cummins. 6.0 and 6.4 are the best after you drop about $8k in the motor to bullet proof them.

His tires were spinning and he just couldn't get traction. I just had to move him enough to keep him from spinning and to pull him up to the road. 4lo and in first gear I ran 4k rpms up the hill and shifted to second about 3/4 of the way up. We got him out.
