I used M3 mesh. I also painted the radiator and everything else back there with some high heat spray paint.

Both those satoshi grilles look nice. Making me want one:jellydance:

Did you guys use the fiberglass stuff? Also did y'all get the mesh pre-bent, or does it not need any bending?

I used a little plastic repair kit from autozone that came with a flexible mesh thing that i set in place first then built up with bondo afterwards. Came out pretty good. As far as the bending the mesh, i didn't have to. Mine sat pretty flat.

I used the plastic welding method for it and then just refined everything with a layer of filler, as for the mesh I made a homemade bender since the grille has a small contour to it , you can bend it with your hands if you get aluminum though

Haha I've thought about making my extra grille into a thin lip satoshi. Haven't looked into what it takes though.

Haha i possibly could but i shouldn't. Doing this Satoshi annoyed the sh!t out of my wife because of having parts all over our little apartment lol. I have my original stock black grill in storage right now. Was thinking about making another with raptor style mesh but i'll wait till i have and actual garage to work in. As for the emblems, I JB welded screws on the back of them. same with the mesh to the grill. So they're all held down by screws and nuts.
