However, that area which has a groove in it, is a replaceable piece. Only catch is, that you have to cut it off. Otherwise the only other method of removal is by pressing off the whole bearing. And those bearings aren't cheap!

The whole front is on the garage floor. When the time comes, I can send those into The Driveshaft Shop, and they can upgrade them.

Talked with Darton today. They are having a hard time getting the exact cam specs from Kelford, so that they can properly setup timing. Should hear something good in the next few days.

I hope the axles don't set me behind to bad schedule wise, to have the turbo relocated. This one just kind of happened to pop up. :/

 

nice build so far! I was thinking about doing some kind of power adder like a turbo but I want to finish out my setup with headers and a tune before I do that.

If you have any questions performance related, ask away.

 

You're going to have to either modify your headers or get new ones to run a turbo so if you want to go the turbo route it may be best to wait on the headers until you figure out what direction you want to go.

 

Forgot to share this earlier. When the truck was at D3 Performance Engineering, I had them weld on an -8AN fitting to the fuel rail. Since the damage from APR was so severe. After I cleaned it out of course.








And the new Deatschwerks DW300 pump w/wiring harness came in yesterday.





Just about ready to rework the fuel lines and system.

I already did the research on what I needed for the turbo, really as soon as the truck rolled off of the lot, but I didnt want to tank out my warranty so soon since I am a tad hard on my trucks lol

By the time my extended warranty ends it will be time for a new fresh motor

 

They are all a work in progress no matter what stage I dont think they ever get 100% fully completed haha. Id rather work on my Toyota then my Ford any day when it comes to modifying frustrations.

Do you have a local shop that you narrowed down for the turbo fab?

 

Lol well it does run in the blood; dad was a drag racer. But there is a localish shop in MD that I know the owner of and I would more then likely take it to him because the produce very good work, also have done friends rides from cars to trucks. They work on anything and also race imports.

 

idk what was harder. Taking those fuel fittings off or putting the oil lines on fittings. lol
