Looks like that antenna will whip your tail light unless you make a secondary mount that goes up at the top to keep the antenna from smacking your Tail light.

 

I'll figure it out (I saw a diagram a while back, and i shoulda saved it to my computer but i didn't)

I might do that, or look into springs.

Maybe, it'll be kinda tall though, a 4' antenna on top of the height to top of the bed.
Dunno i wanna drill onto the bed though.

The rubber goes between the antenna and the bumper. If the antenna touches ground it will limit your range to about 500 feet (and probably damage your radio eventually.

Got a question for ya, others might like to know the answer so I'll ask here rather then PM.

Ok, so found a leak where the pass side axle tube ties into the diff housing. There is 4 bolts there, 1 was gone the other 3 finger tight.
I don't believe there is a gasket there, correct?
I assume the leak is coming from the inner axle seal that likely gave up from the flexing that happened with the axle tube being loose. I lost about 3/4 quart of gear oil and I'm guessing I will find a lot of that in the axle tube.
Are these assumptions in the ballpark of correct?
I have not dug into the front end of these that deep

 

I am assuming you mean the flange where the brake backing plate mounts? I believe there is a large O-ring there that makes the seal to the plate (on the outside) if the oil is leaking toward the inside the leak is at the inner axle seal.

I would jack up that side so the oil wont come out, and remove the brake like and speed sensor plug and pull the axle to check the O-ring and possibly replace the seal in case it got damaged from stuff being loose.



Edit: Thought you meant rear, lol. Not sure how I missed that. Its a bit different with the IFS, but it has a slightly similar setup, however I would agree that the seal s probably trashed..

No gasket, 4 bolts hold axle in, lost fluid ? is there visible leakage on backing plate or tires ?
