Colormatch the bumper and valance, black out that middle bottom portion of the valance and it will look sick. I miss my old green prerunner. Love the green first gens.

I didn't try the 33's while stock, but I get a small amount of rub at full lock in reverse so it probably would have rubbed even more. The power loss was barely noticeable to me, unless you're drag racing stop lights it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I drive a little slow anyway haha

Randy that green truck is badass! Love the look with the two tone valence. How did you get the color so accurate?

Yeah I miss that truck. Only reason I sold it was to get a 4 door. Other than that the truck was great. So much compliments about the green. But yeah I had the bumper painted from a buddy of mine. He got the paint code from the manufacturer sticker in the door jam. You should do it man. It will look sick.

I bought all my parts from different places to get the best price, here's the breakdown.
    Toytec - Eibach springs @ $175.76, top plates @ $95 IIRC
BilsteinLifts.com - Dakar leafs, u-bolts, exhaust bracket, bushings & washers for front shocks, and BPV bracket was $553.69 shipped (The u-bolts and exhaust bracket are cheaper if you bundle them with new leafs from bilsteinlifts)
    Downsouth Motorsports - All 4 5100's @ $340

I may have done some rounding in there but the total for everything came out to $1069.45 (Just reading off this post-it on my desk).
Then four BFG AT's 33x10.5x15 @ $164.95 came out to $773.60 balanced and aligned from American Tire Depot. I highly recommend them if you have one local, after talking with the manager for a bit I was able to work out a deal on a new battery, lifetime tire warranty, free rotations and alignments among other stuff.

Edit: If I were to do it again, the exhaust bracket was a waste of $12 or whatever it was, just chop it off. Mine still rubs a bit even with the bracket. And I would've ordered and installed the extended brake line before doing the rear work, trying to balance the axle right on the edge of snapping that brake line was added stress I didn't need haha. Also I probably would've gone with some longer travel shocks in the rear. Other than that I'm very pleased

My thoughts exactly. Looking good. Yours is 2x wheel drive with locker, right?

    2wd with no locker... :pout:
But all my offroad toys have been 1 tire fire so I know how to drive it. Locker is on the list for the future, but right now for desert running I won't miss it too much

Yeah, it looks like you got it dialed in with your prev toys. Makes sense! Save the front drive headaches... I stress so much about the cv's, and had to mess with my diff to get rid of vibes... Ended up dropping the diff. So annoying haha.

Yeah a lot of the problems I see on here from lifts seem to be 4wd specific, so at least what I'm lacking in capability I can hopefully make up in reliability haha.

Got the metal for the grill today

Grill looks good black. I'll be doing that soon. Tbh not a big fan of the satoshi. It looks good, just not my style! You gonna leave it blank or throw a custom emblem up?

I was more stoked on it before, but now I'm not sure if I'll dig it. That's an extra one so I'll finish it up and if I don't like it I'll just sell it. I want to do some kind of emblem but I haven't decided yet...the Raptor style letters would be sweet

Set this up for the grill

Burnt out on the Satoshi so I set it aside and blacked out the stock grill for now

    IMG_4688_zps90f94074_c746988167c0daef2804c2430d733b32caf87a43.jpg

I'll probably run it like this for awhile

    To-do list before desert:
    Carrier bearing drop
    Rear bumpstops
    Extended brake line
    Drive belts

    All the boring stuff...

Why the cb bearing drop? I only considered it to address vibes... You got vibes? Blacked out is more better, I Likey. I want to do that but need to address 'boring stuff'.

I got vibes accelerating from 15-25. If I give it more gas it goes away, my thinking is that the torque rotates the rear axle just enough to even out the driveshaft angles. I'm going to drop it an inch so we'll see if it helps

I was going to do an LED bar but the Hella's would cover up the radiator better. Maybe I'll just do a single layer of metal with the hella's behind and see how it looks
