Anybody know about setting up a charitable bank account? If something is set up, say in Ben's name then have a way to put money in, whether transfer from another bank, or perhaps have a Paypal thing.

Brady, later this week, I can probably meet for lunch as long as I have space to park my truck with a trailer. I'm not working this week, and looks like I will be making a trip to Spokompton with a full load of firewood since I am not going to burn it all here. I have enough for probably 2 loads of truck and trailer.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
lol, you would've been fine Brady. I am taking the steps needed right now, but I will definitely need a new block for sure.

I called my Ins. Agent just to get his advice, and told me how to explain (what specific varbiage to use) it if I want to make a claim. Not to defraud them or anything, but see if this is something that could be covered. It's all about how you explain it.

Thanks Mike! I checked that link and found a few used/reman engines that would work. B&R actually has a 55k 1GR for about $2500. Lots of steps need to be taking before I can even think about dropping money on an engine right now, and the interior is the main priority right now.

I need to tear the seats, console, and carpeting out today, and drop the carpet off at a local detail shop so he can clean, re-pad, extract and dry it. I can hopefully do that when I am done with work for the day.

Thanks Joe! Laughter is definitely the best medicine :)

I have to admit I was still in shock this morning, but I am pretty optimistic about the whole thing. This was definitely a wake-up call for me to get my financial priorities in order and take steps to make sure I am more responsible and prepared for unexpected emergencies like this. Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes lady fate can be a cold-hearted bitch when she wants to teach you a lesson.

You guys are awesome...seriously. I am all for charity, and have donated to other members when in need, but I have never been one to ask for help (especially in a situation like this) even if I need it.

I have considered starting a "donation" thread, but again this whole situation arose from my own stupidity and lack of judgment, so I don' think it qualifies as a good candidate for charitable donations. Maybe that's just my stupid pride and modesty talking...but I would feel guilty taking money from you guys to help rectify my own mistakes.

Back to work, and I will post-up periodically with info./ideas/updates.

ALSO, to the guys that have my Cell Phone #, I will be texting and/or PM'ing you my other cell# to save, as I will be cancelling that number today in an effort to save more money (this is part of the wake-up call I was talking about earlier). :)

    Thanks y'all

lol, sorry dude! That phone is dead/charging (I have to wrap the cord around it to get it to charge, I know you can relate :p).

Also, I just sent you a PM with my new # to reach me. I will be using my work cell exclusively, and will be cancelling my other line (360-481-xxxx).

Again I will be texting and PM'ing the guys with my new number to reach my if needed.

I also need to send an email to my SAR team letting them know I can't drive for the time being, but I can still ride-along! :headbang:

Dammit... I was about to say the same thing.

I am thinking of doing this sooner or later myself. Just gotta find the cheap parts so the wife doesn't know I am doing it.

Got all my skid plates off. About to pressure wash. For those of you on the fence about getting armor, I got dragged down a hill of boulders in front wheel drive with rear wheels locked. I don't mean I had a locker engaged - they were literally locked up. Underneath the truck, not a single scratch. I'll take a flap disc to the armor this weekend, throw on some POR and good as new. Might have to hammer one with a sledge hammer a few times...

Fuck yea Brady! Not sure about the ABS, it might be okay. The interior shoudl be good once I get it stripped and cleaned (professionally).

 deal! I will sell them cheap, only $2850 for the set, I will even install them :)

x2, they fixed my rear diff. under warranty.

You guys are the best! Big bear hugs to the both of you
