So trying to put on my tonnopro sport and removing the bed rails has come to a hault, one side came off no problem, the drivers side on the other hand, one bolt came out 3 of them stripped. Can't remove them period, so I drilled down the bolt but I'm not sure what to use to remove them like that. Or any other ideas? I'd like to prevent taking it someone and do it myself. I just want to know for sure the correct method I've never stripped a bolt before in my 15 years playing around on my cars/truck

You drilled the head off to take the rail off? If so then you can get an easy out to get the rest of the bolt out of the hole.

If you didn't drill off the heads you could cut slots in them and try using a screwdriver/chisel and hammer.

I drilled down and into the bolt, the head is still intact I have a dremel that I could prob use to slice top off, but is there a putty the remove the threads that I drilled into? We'll not the threads themselves but that portion of the bolt?

I don't know what your trying to say. I don't understand what you tried to accomplish by drilling into the bolt. Lookup extracting a bolt with a stripped head on YouTube.

This is true with pictures but it's too dark to take them, just imagine lol where the torx bit would go being a complete circle and then I just drilled down that circle into the bolt, I think I have it figured out but no place near me that sells the tool I need so online I go....awesome

I did the same thing, just drilled the heads off and then used an easy-out to pull the rest of the bolt out. Worked good for all but 1, the head didn't even strip on that one but the insert broke free on the inside. Had to drill the head off to get the rail off and haven't put anything in that hole yet, still has that bastard seized up in there. I'll mess with it more when it warms up.

I picked up the reverse thread set from Home Depot for $9 hoping it works I feel more comfortable with the square ones but can't find them in any kind of industrial store etc near me, so guess they'll have to do, fingers crossed I didn't drill to far or mess things up too bad.

You may already know all this but here goes anyway. If you can get penetrating oil on there before you try to extract do it. Also after the oil but before the easy out if you can hit the head of the bolt with a hammer or big punch this may help break the corrosion inside and make the extraction easier. Several sharp hits is what you want to do. Last bit of advice is don't put any side load on the easy out tool. They are very hard and therefor very brittle. If you break it off in there you will not be able to drill through it. I've had better luck with the square extracters for what it's worth.
