    probably a stupid question

Long story short i own a 2010 access cab and my wife and i are having our first child soon. car seats don't fit will in the cab comfortably.

I'm looking at buying new double cab.

My gm trucks i have owned in the past have always offered tilt steering. Move the steering wheel up and down and also a tilt feature adjusting the angle.
    Do tacomas have this feature?
my 2010 access cab doesn't and i think my old 1rst gen tacoma did but i cant remember.

    any inputs would be great

    thank you

My 2014 SR5 double cab has telescoping and tilt steering wheel. I don't think all the models have the telescope.

Actually all 2nd gens have tilt/telescoping steering wheels...(if in not mistaken)

Because when I need to remove the upper dash to get to the clusters, I always pull the wheel out and push it down for more room so I don't scratch anything

I will try it when I get back in my truck.

The Gm steering I mentioned. What is the name for it?
    I aprechate all the help.
I would really like the angle steering I mentioned before. I get tired of hitting my knees on steering wheel when I get in the truck

Yes they will tilt but in my experience they are exercise in futility as they tilt very little. I am only 5'10" and I hit my knees on the steering wheel every time I get in and out. I even have my seat back further than normal to help out but the tilt is still not enough at least in the access cab.

That's what I was thinking- I just went out and checked my '05 and it has it too. I've been driving the thing since '06 and never knew about that feature, guess I should have read the owner's manual.
