If they keep your toes warm

I remember the days when you could smoke in government vehicles and it was also the place we'd go to get warm... 6 people is a 6 pack truck and 5 of them smoking :puke:

I have a pair of Baffin boots that I picked up in AK that are supposed to be warm to -40*F. I've worn them once since I moved back here because it never gets quite cold enough for them!

Bunny boots work, but they're a little awkward for working in. Ok if you're sitting still.

Ya that's the only thing pissing me off. My labourer is a heavy smoker and he's making my truck stint . He doesn't smoke in my truck but just the smell off of him is enough to pollute the air

    You hush you wine monger
That's the problem, I'm up and down ladders, walking walls/floor joists all day so I need to be able to feel my feet lol

    Febreze? :notsure:

How much can you "feel" if your feet are frozen? :p

Don't like the smell of febreze lol. The cleaner spray that came with my wet okoles does a good job of getting rid of the smell. Just sucks every day he makes it stint. If my boss wasn't paying me to drive him I'd make him take his own vehicle.

Lol it's not so much feel my feet but feel where my feet are lol. Hate big bulky boots when working at heights

Maybe it's a old wives tail but I was always told to never wear layers of socks and that one good sock was the way to go. Granted Ive never had to live in the cold like you guys do but I have made some trips up your way and the last one to Alberta the warmest day was -16*C and me toes was nice and warm in my ski boots.

On another note my buddy just had his second interview and I think it's a done deal. Talked to my boss and my buddy and both sounded like it was a go. They just need to work out some small stuff.

So in three weeks I'm hoping to have some help here and a new "office" here. They bought some 6' tall cubicles and created a two desk office for my department with enough room for a nice drafting table in between them.

Also getting ready to hunt down and poach one of the guys I trained to build doors ten years ago who still works at my old company and see if he wants to come to the dark side. Would be so nice to have seasoned vets working in the warehouse and office.

I usually never wear two pairs of socks because my feet usually sweat all the time but I decided to put on two pairs today for some reason lol
