Pretty lame selection. If those are your only options get the Nova. Not a bad shotgun for the price. If you can swing it get one of the M4's but also and auto-loader versus pump action. I had one for a bit and couldn't justify having $2k tied up in a shitgun that functionally wasn't two times better than my trusty 11-87 and sold it. If I were you I'd just find another source for an 870 though as that will likely best fit your needs.

Yeah as much as the LE M4T looks appealing, 2k is a bit much for a shotgun right now. Ill just find a standard shop for the 870 or check another location

Have you fired one yet? That round in that frame is damn near uncontrollable. I assume you mean to purchase for means of CCW in which case your controlled groups will likely go out the window when adrenaline is flowing. If you want a sub-compact Glock I would HIGHLY suggest shooting this one before buying it and buying a G26 instead. I just gave another buddy the same advice and he bought a G27 instead because it was all the shop had in stock when he went in and he now regrets his choice having fired it. He's planning to sell it for a G26 now.

I don't have much issue with my G27...it's not quite as easy as the G22 but it's nowhere near uncontrollable

Plus the added benefit of using G22 mags if necessary and my holsters all fit both guns

That's probably best. Check out Calguns too as there's probably something on there for sale.

If you hammer fire through a mag in a G27 and then do the same with a G26 your groups will be substantially smaller with the G26. In a self defense situation this is far more critical than most other factors that most base their decision on.

This was my main reasoning. I want to be able to throw my g22 mags in the 27 if need be.

I was having a tough time deciding between that shotty and the pistol I ended up getting.

Cool, I'll definitely check local first, but i'm not buying any more guns till i'm out of CA this summer.

I really want the 5'' barrel (not sure why) and i'm not sure how easy it'll be to find one locally.

I have the same 870 had an ATI stock on it (over folder) now running a Sage industries 5 position stock with a Surefire pump/light combo.

Just got a Glock 42 and it shoots great. Picking up a second for the wife.

If you are 17, you can't have a pistol yet. Here is WA, you have to be 21 to buy a pistol, and 18 for rifle or shotty.

Got ahold of the golck 42 last week. Maybe the first one in VT.(?)Shoots great, and is smaller in person. I seem to shoot it much better than the other "mini" guns. Got a SHTF iwb holster for it on the way. Seems like it will be a good carry gun in the warmer months that I can shoot well. No brainier.

Yeah I am, that's federal law, but in some states (Mississippi, Arizona, Texas i believe, and maybe Virginia) i can buy a pistol from a private party as long as you're 18.

And in Arizona, Texas and Mississippi, i can legally keep that firearms loaded in my vehicle, concealed or not.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    same in SC.

i only highlighted the concealed part for SC b/c if you dont have a CWP, you can keep one loaded, but it has to be behind a latched compartment.
