    Met this guy at Starbucks this morning. Super nice. Said he'd look BBT up, so maybe we can get him to go offroading with us. Truck is an '84, super clean, sitting on 37s, lockers all the way around, geared super low (he demonstrated for me). Pretty sick setup. He is a rep for Toyota, so that's a plus as well.

    I don't know...I think these shocks are the only best rear resi's FOX has to offer for the Tacoma. Adjustable dampening is nice and the 9.5" of travel should be long enough to compensate for the added lift from the Deavers. They may offer a 2.5 but I don't think it has resi.

    Ah, that sucks. There is just alot more dampening and tunability in a 2.5, especially with the bottom mount resi. It's about a 20% increase alone just from the resi coming off the bottom.

    Really? Wow, I didn't know that having the resi's on the bottom was an advantage. My current resi's are mounted on the bottom and honestly, I wasn't a fan of that design and was kind of looking forward to having an upward mounted resi.

    But what you're saying about the bottom mounted ones makes sense as far as functionality goes. I was just always more concerned about the vulnerability of a bottom mounted resi, however, I do more prerunning than rock crawling so they sufficed. Had no idea mounting direction served that much of a purpose.
