Just thought I would share this story with everyone..

My Taco continues to impress me. The other night the gf and I were driving down one of the bad service roads between grande cache and grande prairie. I have double cab TRD sport 4x4 with Duratracs . For those of you who live around here, or have, know how bad they can get. The road was covered with a snow/slush with a thin layer of ice on top and hadn't been pliers all winter as was mostly used by snowmobilers, as well the ditches were up to 4-5 feet deep in some spots . As we were driving through, I saw a dodge ram 3500 1 ton stuck in the ditch. I asked if he needed assistance and the driver, whom was very friendly, said he had a buddy 20 min away, but wouldn't say no to a tow if it was offered. It was dark and as I was strapping the trucks together he said, that tacoma wasn't going to get him out as it was too small, and his truck was too heavy and was really buried. I said lets try (we had already tried to rock the truck out and it wasn't budging). I got in my taco and tightened up the slack in the tow strap (it was attached to the front recovery rings of his truck and a shackle on the hitch of my taco) and gave it some gas, so did he, felt my tires sink in and then start to slowly creep forward. With in 1 min his truck was out of the ditch. He was overly impressed and also pissed off that a little quarter ton just pulled his truck out with little effort lol. He even called his buddy and had some "choice" words about my truck. We ended up shaking hands and him buying me a beer afterwords lol. I love my truck...

    NONE YET!
I've always swore by Toyota. Safe, Good looking, and most definitely reliable. I just bought an 05 Tacoma. Picture is on the left. Haven't had any problems so far, and I love the torque and ponies that come out of it!

Cool story! The Tacoma is an impressive little truck even stock. I know people complain about things being dated but yet the Tacoma still sold 150,000 units last year.

That is a beautiful truck man! Yea this is my first one and I absolutely love it. After seeing a friend of my old man, put both of his through utter abuse through the years, I was sold(he is a contractor) and it still drives like new.

Yea makes you wonder eh? These trucks are bomb proof. They are like that little kid in the play yard that one days kicks the big bullies ass in front of everyone.

They aren't bomb proof and they do have their issues, but they are a good truck overall.
