    I'm pretty certain its on the inside because that is where it was loose but the outside has to come apart to get to it anyway so I'll check that too. First thing I'm gonna do is take it to the shop that did the gears and locker and see what they say, pretty sure those bolts never got tightened.

    Its at the junction of the 3rd and the axle tube, that's where the bolts are loose so assuming that caused the inner seal to let go. Probably been loose all along and seal finally gave up. there is not a ton of movement there because the front end is pretty tied into the frame on an IFS rig.

    Who worked on it last? Not torqued.

    Mine has an oring in that flange, I have found out the hard way not all of them have o rings some use gaskets.

    yes it does, I had the same thing but on the trail and lost all my diff fluid and got a jeep ride to the nearest town for supplies. 5 tubes of RTV later we got out.

    Is it a CA. issued truck ? If so make sure you get a module from another CA truck or it'll never pass smog
