What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Taking another shot at getting this wiring sorted out. Won't be eating at the table for a few days.

Looks a little too chaotic to me, I think I'm going to try it with the double offset

 

Yea the offset looks cool! Just put some small tac welds on the outside and bam.

Ecgs is about 650 for an assembled clamshell after you return the core. And a 5 year warranty

Pulled the trigger on my new gears! Ordered front and rear at 4.56 ratio. I was debating between the 4.56 and the 4.88, but with the amount of highway driving I will be doing, I couldn't see going with the 4.88 gears. So gears and bearing sets on the way!

he was doing a SAS, and then... he decided it would be a good idea to rip the entire truck apart cut everything...

 

TeeHext, the overlap look looks nice. After you paint it will look even better IMO. You've inspired me to try and do my own. Gonna check out the hardware stores today and see what kind of mesh I have available to me.

 

Trying to 'clean up' the wiring. I want to remove anything unnecessary. Engine, head lights, tail lights, turn signals. That's all I want on the harness. Lighting and accessories on a separate harness.

I just replaced my inner and outer tre's. Outer I went with OEM, inner the ones from low range. Only have a few thousand miles on them, so far they are fine. I figured the outers were where you don't want to skimp. No real long term info from me, hopefully they hold up to the extreme steering angles I have going on right now from 5100s/ eibachs

 

Bad enough. I've got the 620 lb eibachs on 5100s(@ "0" ) , but a 2.7 manual. Even with skids, tube bumper my CV angles are steep. Can't imagine its great for the steering stuff either. Probably at 3.5+" lift right now
