stick with one that has a dry filter the oil from the k&n works its way down to the MAF sensor and will affect performance and milage if its not cleaned regularly

    $$$ no object?

This is the only intake that will give you any kind of hp gain. The rest are all noise.

+1 for a supercharger if money really is no object. That'll be some REAL HP gains. Otherwise that URD seems to be pretty solid for gains (solid as far as CAIs go).

Check out the aFe (Advanced Flow Engineering) cold air intakes. I just bought the drop-in aFe Pro Dry S filter and my response changed noticeably from the stock OEM air filter.

X 2. If any, I would just buy a dropin for improved throttle response.

    Here's a thought.

Buy a CAI for $300 or so and get 1-2 hp gain, cost = $150 per hp gain.

    Buy a S/C for $3800 and 100+ hp, cost = $38 per hp gain.

In the end, the s/c is SO much cheaper!:D

the only ones that are true cold air intakes are the trd the afe stage 2(the one in a box that looks the same as the trd) and the urd, all the others have been known to decrease performance and gas mileage, I did a lot of researching before I purchased the afe with a pro dry S filter, Dont be fooled by other companies calling them cold air intakes when your truck has a stock cold air intake on it already that brings in colder air through the wheel well than these compaines tubes with a filter on the end will bring in.

It's a cold air! I would think your not going to notice much with ne brand. At least with the Yotas little v6. I bought the best K&N cold air intake about a year ago for my 07 dbl cab and I love it! Easy install too! It all mounts to factory mounting points. Seemed to make the trottle a little more responsive.... but that could just be the loud noise it makes like someone on here said lol .... Sounds great tho! I'm glad I got it! I can post a pic if ya want dude, just let me know.

hate to burst your bubble but the k&n is not a cold air intake, it takes warm air from the inside of the engine bay, which is why they dont advertise it as a cold air intake.

I don't know much about engines and I can see what your saying but K&N does advertise it as a cold air because I bought it as that from them.

As I was! lol Cant argue with that. Guess I was just buying shit! So what's a true cold air? something that actually pulles air from somewhere away from the engine?

um yeah, the stock intake is actually a cold air intake cause it pulls air through the wheel well. Also there is the trd and the afe that do the same. Another option is the urd which is like what you have now but the tube goes out in front of the rad and pulls air from there. I wouldnt say what you have is crap, they do claim that it increases horse power even though they dont claim its a cold air intake.

Where do you get 100+ HP gain? TRD's website states that the 4.0 Supercharger will boost your HP from 236hp to 304hp. Ref. http://www.trdusa.com/featuredpart.cfm?part=supercharger

UPDATE: Also, MSRP is $4500, not including labor.
