It's defiantly on my wish list. When I replace my head-unit, that is what I want to install. I've only seen people with Pioneer, JVC, etc... DVD/Nav units. I'd like to hear from someone who has used it.

Found this earlier today. That sounds almost too good to be true. Considering most of these things are going for $850+ Still, from what I've read there are a lot of nice upgrades over the W205. I personally love album art and for some odd reason I would pay more for it.

I just bought the iva-w505. the unit cost me about $900, but the total price including taxes and whatever else they added on for installing it is gonna cost me like $1500. I kinda feel like i'm getting ripped off now, but it seemed to make sense in the store when I was buying it.

Why aren't you installing it yourself? It is pretty easy. I installed a Double Din DVD Pioneer unit last night in my truck. The installation took me about 2 1/2 hours including time to fiddle with the position of my RCA cables that had previously been run.

You should save your money and do it yourself. It's really easy. Just get a Alpine Toyota wiring harness and you are good to go.

I probably could have installed it myself, but I just didn't feel confident enough to do so. The last thing I wanted was for me to mess something up and then not being completely satisfied with the job. Much rather just pay the cash and let the professionals do their thing.

My Jvc Avx-810 is lame when it comes to album art. the head unit reads it like its video from the ipod so the emergency break has to be on to even view album art....LAME!! F'n BS plus there is no NAV upgrade...guess ill do more homework next time but i did get it for a steal :)

dont think i really need to watch movies while driving but the album art would be cool. do you know how that thing hooks up? does it just intercept the parking break signal to make it think its on?

Yep. For example on the 505 you can not get into the menu's to change anything if the 'parking brake' isn't on. This module lets you have full functionality of your deck! It does tons of other things too. GL

hmmm maybe worth looking into. I have the PAC SWI-Jack running my steering wheel controls so that should work on my JVC also. Thanks b335i

While people are diggning this up... I wouldn't recommend getting the deck to show video while driving - it's a big no-no for video to display in the driver's visual area and can get you quite the traffic fine.

If a store is charging you for a deck install, I'd try somewhere else. Everyone around here assumes that the install is free on decks $100+

    Everything is a big no-no!

Just tint your windows dark enough so they can't see in!
