Hey guys, I was following some instructions I found on a google search when I was taking off/putting the door panel back on my truck (09 tacoma). What happened is, I was putting that small sail part that is above the door panel (that covers the hardware for the mirror) back and my directions said just to push it back into the white clips, well I did that and all my white clips fell into the door and went down somwhere where I can't see or reach them after much looking.

I found some different instructions then that specifically said not to push it back into the clips, because well they will fall into the door.

So where might I be able to get a few of those little white clips?

Did you pull the door panel off? I'll guess they're sitting at the bottom??? Just give it a yank at each corner.

Same thing happened to me, but I only lost one of them, and the panel went back on without a problem, so it is no big deal for me.

I took the panel off again, and took off the speaker, but could not find the missing clip. I think they fall into a different compartment...no mans land.

My first suggestion would be to open the door up and get the clips out. Second suggestion would be to go to the toyota parts department and buy some new ones :)

Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.
Yeah, I've lost one in there before. It simply disappears. I think if anyone can find where they go, they find all the missing socks in the world too.

I'd go to a dealership and pic up a bag of them. Probably charge like $5, but oh well.

Thanks guys. Yea I've done everything short of taking the door off and I'm not up to that. Probably just go to the dealer next time I get a chance.

They seem to fall into some unreachable void, 3 of em down there and can't see any of em.
