Don't get me wrong, the second gens blew my mind in Moab. But I'm not crazy like most people here to offroad something still under warranty haha

 

dont see how its any different than when the warranty is up? something breaks, you replace it either way

And school just got Canceled. Snow in South Carolina. Fuvking hell. It's like the 3rd time in my life it's happened.

 

Meanwhile it hasn't snowed here in almost 3 weeks at a time of year the ski hills should be at 100+ inches

That is what I want to do eventually too, but I am getting an 80 series land cruiser for that.

I will give you that the manual transmission has the wosrt gear ratios on earth. 1st needs to be lower, 2nd needs to be lower, and 5th needs to be much higher. I do love playing the rollback game with people on hills.

 

There's a few hills in the Springs that I can do that on haha. Foco not so much, too flat. lol

 

I love it when people go "you drive a stick?" halfway to where we are going, where were you this whole time?

 

I am used to a 1 ton truck tranny, you start in 2nd and have low revs in 5th on the highway.

 

Since I've had both an auto and manual in very similar trucks, I will completely disagree. The manual can put more power down from a stop and running at higher rpm on the highway makes passing and hills much easier. It's so much better than the auto in every way.

 

My 2nd gen Tacoma went airborne with temp tags on it haha.
