Nice work. If you have a tough time getting the piece behind the bearing, just bevel the ends a little. I did this on my ECGS puller and it worked like a champ.

Don't bevel the side that faces the bearing - bevel the opposite side.

Replaced my LF CV Axle with a new Toyota assembly. I had damaged the outer cv boot on the original axle and it was slinging all the grease out of it. I removed the needle bearing and installed the ECGS Bushing and replaced the oil seal as well. I used the ECGS Bearing removal tool, it worked great, well worth the money invested. I had also purchased their bushing / bearing installation tool set to get the new bushing into place. I drained all the gear fluids out of the front and rear differentials and transfer case. I plan to refill them this week with red line full synthetic gear fluids. It was nice to see that this repair ended up being easier than I thought it was going to be. I recommend blocking out a day and taking your time and having the right tools is a must. A second set of hands helps out too.

I was just reading up to see if anyone was sending the tool around, LOL! Maybe I'll wait until it warms up a little... I hate having bloody AND numbed fingers.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
When I'm done with it, I'll pass it on for the cost of shipping. I'll post up here when that happens.

Send some of that winter weather my way! I've been in shorts and flip-flops since before Christmas, and it's pissing me off. We NEED something other than warm sunshine days around here!

Just got home from work and was very anxious to try my puller and what do you know first try she slid right out.

If anyone wants to use this puller just pay shipping and pass it on to the next person here to use.

Is this problem only on 4x4s or could this happen on a Prerunner? My wheel hub looks a little different.

I'm worried I might if I don't get it done this summer. Vibe is bad enough I find it hard to believe it's not wearing out quickly. :notsure:

Only Brian. Mine was grinding really loud (the first bearing) and I drove it like that for a while but it did stress me out. I can't remember how many thousands of miles I drove with it like that, but I think it was less than a couple. At the time, I was not about to go on a 2k mile trip at high speeds on the freeway with it like that.
