    It's molded plastic for God's sake. They probably have <$15 into them. Nice profit margin though.

    I've used a few different kinds now and every one of them falls short of the Maxtrax. Everything else is either flimsy, poor design, not great traction.


    After a couple of our recent trips where we've had to use multiple Maxtrax at a time, I'm 100% sold on them.

    I've used the Smittybuilts and seen the TREDs used. Night and day difference from the Maxtrax. Even though the price of those seems more reasonable, if they don't get you out or they crack/break, it doesn't matter how good of a deal it was.


    Yeah the Maxtrax are pretty expensive but after seeing them in use I don't have a problem paying for them. Cruiser Outfitters is working on a group buy for our local club. He currently only has one set of black, and the rest are safety orange. I'll ask about doing a larger group buy if there is interest.
