I'm looking for a toolbox for my Black 05 Taco Double Cab Longbox.

Does anyone have pics of one they really like in their truck? I dont haul tools too often, just chains, jumper cables, straps, and stuff for hunting mainly. So it would not need to be theft proof or anything. Just a decent looking, decent quality, moderately priced box would do. Thanks in advance.

I use a small Igloo Marine Cooler and a ratchet strap. Similar to this (http://www.igloocoolers.com/Coolers/All-Coolers/25-Quart-Marine) that fits under my roll up bed cover. Also usable to hold beer, act as a seat, foot stool, tool holder, or cooler. Mostly to hold a small tool kit, tow straps, etc. Not an entire tool box. I'd just load up a tool box for that.

Not quite big enough for hunting chairs. Thanks though.

A longer/larger cooler then? There's a few around here that have the black slim Kobalt tool box that they seem to like. I don't use one of these as it is not compatible with a bed cover.

I like the low profile Kobalt boxes, I have only found that box in silver though. Can't seem to find it anywhere in black.

I have a WeatherGuard 131-5-01 box in black. Like this one:

I didn't buy from these guys, but WeatherGuard's website is pretty sparse on info.

The big "con" is the cost, it isn't cheap. You said you don't need locking capability, so other boxes are probably a better choice. But I really like my WeatherGuard.....

Just bought kobalt from lowes for my 13 ltd, don't like unsecured crap in back seat. I will post pics, still on the fence about the look though. I have 5 foot bed .

Does this sit above top of bed? I have been looking for one that sits below. I have a access cover......so it limits my options.

I have an OEM one from Toyota that I like for camping that came with the truck. It has double locks on the sides and has plenty of room for stuff imo.

Although way overpriced new, I scored the wheel well swingcase toolbox on CL for $40. Serves me well, easily removable, fits under bed cover, and holds some hand tools and various straps, etc..:Cons: only holds about 70lbs, hard plastic, hinge may bend over time if overloaded. So far, so good.
