I have an '08 double cab with a great stereo (Pioneer AVIC BT-90) and really good Infinity reference speakers. But it really needs a sub. I've seen the boxes they sell on ********* that go behind the back seat. Just wondering if anyone has put one in or if there are other creative sub installations out there.

    Thanks for the advice!

some of this, a little of that
Just the sub that came stock in the truck. I was talking to a local stereo shop and he said I could get up to a 10" back there no problem if I wanted to replace it.

Here is what you can put in the back of a DC

2x 10" subs with custom amp rack in between with 2 amps for full active system

Yes they can. They fit just fine.

They are not shallow mount subs.

    Interesting setup.

So, with the seats blocking part of the subs, how do they sound?

As well, how do they sound when the seats are in the upright position?

Are they muffled, clear, muted, do the seats rattle?

Seats do not rattle and the sound is clear. Low bass notes penetrate the panels with no issues.
