Hey Ben, I've seen where some guys have taken old engines and turned them into coffee tables. Maybe that's what you should do with yours once it comes out. I'm totally convinced Sandy will be thrilled, trust me :D

Haven't taken it to the dealership yet. I've got it all cleaned up - skid plates are removed. I just have to put on the stock skid plate and install the driveline before I take it in. Once Tallon gets his retubed :D

Yeah - I could also technically remove sliders and re-install nerf bars but it would be a bitch. I think worst case scenario I can always say I purchased sliders used. I had a full set of ATO armor so the underside shows virtually no damage. The pumpkin doesn't have any dents and looks clean.

I gave my stock rims and tires to a buddy. Do you guys think I should go over and swap tires/wheels before taking it in to the dealership? I'm currently running SCS wheels on Cooper Discoverer AT/3s if that makes any difference.

ehh... they may try to pull a "added weight" crap on you because of what you have on now. I would tell em to go fly a kite if they say it lol. You should be ok...but every stealership is different.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
    Hey guys,

I spoke to all.on.black this evening. He is a really cool guy, and extremely generous to extend the offer that he did. Once the truck is cleaned-up on the inside (and outside) I need to figure out a way to get it to his place in Auburn, so he can swap the engine.

I truly appreciate everyone's willingness/eagerness to help with the install, but he would prefer to do it himself (he is a badass like that). He has torn his truck down numerous times and swapped the engine as well, so I'm confident in his abilities and I agree that it would probably be easier without our rowdy bunch getting wasted and "trying to help" (too many cooks, ya know :D)

But aside from that, let's get a mod day planned!

I was even thinking about a "Celebration Meet / Mod Day" once I get Dora Chocolate Rain Cousteau Puddles back on the road.

I need to thank you guys in-person and at the very least provide food and drink, and lend a hand with any mods that need doing. I am still think of ways that I can pay you all back for your unexpected generosity.... something genuine and memorable.

As far as the truck goes, we dropped the carpet off today to be cleaned and dried. I used a shopvac to suck up all the mud/water that I could inside, and currently have a high powered fan working its magic to help dry out the padding behind the dash. The detailer guy let me borrow the fan, which was super cool.

More news as it develops! I can't thank you all enough for the assistance, it was completely unexpected and really incredible.
