All I want on an upgraded tacoma would be some leather seats, a 6 or 7 speed automatic, a diesel option, fully boxes frame, and hid projector lights from the factory.

I wouldnt change the look/size but it would be nice if the glove box and surrounding area was more concave for additional leg room ( everyone that rides with me is around 6') also the back of the front seats could be concave for more leg room again ha. Fwiw im 6'2 and as a driver have plenty of leg room. Power rear window

    And of course, DIESEL

Regular cab TRD Off-Road 4.0L dual VVT with 6 speed manual. 7 foot bed (anyone remember when those were available on pre-tacomas?). IFS is fine for my purposes but I would like manual hubs and a manual t-case. All-weather rubber flooring, manual windows, locks and mirrors, bucket seats with center console.

Interesting, my 2013 has no throttle hang. My buddy's 2013 FJ does suffer from throttle hang.

I walk to work and there is a 1st gen Tacoma Regular Cab 5 lug extended cab I walk by everyday. I'm not sure if it's a 7' or 8' bed but it looks much longer than my 6' bed.

I'd love a full luxury version of the Tacoma. I know, it's a truck, but if you look at the interior of all the full size half tons, they look luxurious enough for me to want it. That's what I would have paid a lot more money for. A Tacoma with a luxurious interior.

If toyota would just add power leather seats and maybe some soft touch plastics throughout the cabin it would be perfect.

Yes, and luxury stuff like, auto dual climate control, heated mirrors, heated steering wheel, blind spot warnings, and a digital computer display for everything(mileage, temp, etc.), heated and cooled seats, etc. Give me all this and more and I will be first in line to buy a new one.
