What about a full size Tacoma? Not a Tundra, but the same truck in a slightly bigger size.

Simple diesel motor, SFA (as a option), front and rear ARB's on the off road models, a rearview mirror that is mounted higher so i can see out both sides of the windshield, the steering wheel adjustable higher so i don't slap myself every time i turn the wheel, and a metal bed, plus better frame protection (from salt and other harsh chemicals)

For improving the 2nd gen ^^^

A Tacoma with those features that almost lured me to a full size 2 weeks ago, namely:
    - factory installed remote starter
    - four wheel disc brakes
    - larger fuel tank (or better milage, or both)
    - better tow hooks on the front of the truck
    plus
    - factory rear airbags

This, plus all 4 disc brakes, manual crank windows, manual locks, mechanical 4wd, and a slightly nicer interior, rubber floors, I could care less for leather seats since they'd be covered anyway with a waterproof cover. And a diesel option with more torque yeah. Preferably a cummins. Like the one they're going to put in the new jeep that has stump pulling torque. I like stump pulling torque.

Boxed frame, rear coils, four wheel disc brakes, large sunroof, auto braking, lane correction, blind spot warning, luxury interior, sport steering wheel, sharper sleeker sculptured body work, spare tire mounted on tail gate, ... the rest of my ideas will, can after market. Waiting two years for the third gen. .. hope this is the year....well, we all know about hope and change.

Not sure why people are griping on the lack of 4 disk brakes. The Drums work fine. Never had an issue with some of the taxing payloads I've had.

And the factory tow hooks? I dunno if it's just an OR package option, but the hooks on mine are like 1 ton beefy...

I would want a manual gear box that actually works...period. Other than that, cruise control, int. wipers, power windows, an arm rest built into the bench seat, and the rear locker. THAT would be a bad ass little truck if it had all those features.

Oh and the bed made from METAL....
