    So yeah, ATRAC and elockers have been minimal use to me.

    What situation is that REALLY needed though, like i know it makes it easier, but is there a dire situation where a OR make it, and no other model will? cause as long as you're experienced 4x4, know how to line your truck up in a climb or crawling, then its not a need? and thats IF im really crawling around

    Yes, you might have mistaken trac for Atrac.

    The locker has saved me in low traction situations. Namely sand.

    Its not just crawling, its anything where traction is crucial. Could just be a muddy section of a fire road. ATRAC uses the computer to power the wheels that have traction so you dont just spin. From the reading I have done on TW, several people have shared about how crucial it was to get them through a spot where they would have gotten stuck without it.

    So essentially and non-technically, its a low HP recovery winch built into electronic sensors.

    its 1500 more than SR5 for OR? Seems like you get a lot more, elocker, ATRAC, better suspension.

    Your money. I still vote SR5 for any on road situation you will encounter, even in the mountains. Off road could be another story.

    The difference between the SR5 and the OR that i would like, not the super stripped model but some interior amenities, yes $1500

    I have an Off Road right now and love it… just didn't know that there was that big of a difference for $1500. and $1500 doesn't even put a dent in what I'd wanna do to build it myself.

    Have you tried dealing on the SR5. I got mine for 28000 before tax/title. DCSB, Entune, 4x4, 6 speed.

    Well shit thats a $4,000 difference…. Guess you're right. And now that i have the "toyota loyalty" discount and know a manager at the store i might swing a better deal. SHOOT MAN!!!

    The ATRAC only works in 4 low. I use it while sanding my driveway because I'll stop every 50 feet or so while going up hill to throw some sand out behind me.
