    Last night's display from Scrivens was pretty incredible. Probably one of the wildest goaltending shows in quite some time. But I wouldn't exactly start construction on the 'Scrivens Statue' just yet. As an Oilers fan, I've learnt to temper my excitement of amazing displays of hockey. A couple years ago Sam Gagner had an 8 point night against the Hawks (a vastly superior team to the Oilers). And other such wild events have occurred here and there. But has Gagner gone on to become a top NHL forward?? Nope!! Have the Oilers (or any individual player) gone on to achieve greatness in the past few years?? Nope!!

    It was an amazing show last night - but I'll wait for him (and the Oilers) to play solid, competitive, consistent hockey - night in, night out - before I start planning parades, or building statues. Last night the Oilers were a bunch of pylons, standing in front of a brick wall. Not exactly the formula for a solid competitive team.

    Scrivens was always a good goalie so hopefully they resign him and he keeps playing. I first really seen the talent he had in the 2012 Calder playoff run the Marlies made it to the finals. He was insane there. If nothing more he will always be a quality backup/1b type goalie. Was really hoping he would fly under the radar and go UFA this summer though lol leafs will need a goalie once Reimer is traded
