I've been lurking since I purchased my truck in 4/2013,. What a great place to find out about mods and now that I have actually done some, I feel like I have something to share! 1st week of having it, went for a backcountry hike and to break it in on some dirt
    [IMG]

Took it up to West Camino Cielo the next week
    [IMG]

Took it on a camping trip with the new BFG All Terrain tires- this is at Jerseydale campground right outside of Yosemite. This was our first long road trip in the new truck!

Took it on a dirt road to check out Bodie ghost town and actually came upon this gem on accident- Chemung Mine

On an afternoon drive up nearby Figueroa Mountain Rd this spring
    [IMG]

Installed the new grill- was pretty simple following the instructions. Had bought one off TW.com used just in case I f-ed it up
    [IMG]

Installing the B.A.M.F. bolt on sliders. Drilling holes sucked, will probably weld it to the frame for extra strength
    [IMG]

    Sliders on the truck
    [IMG]

Derped the emblems- it was scary at first but then you realize how easy it is to peel off the overspray
    [IMG]

    Softopper installed
    [IMG]

Quick fist mount under center console
    [IMG]

Hi-lift installed on Relentless Fab mounts
    [IMG]

Heading up to Cerro Gordo ghost town
    [IMG]

Installed Billy 5100s/887 coils in the front, ran out of time installing the rear AAL set
    [IMG]

That's it for now….trying to save up money but it seems easier to spend on all these mods, damn TW! The community here is awesome and there are so many good looking' trucks. Couldn't be happier with my purchase, I've always wanted a Tacoma (used to drive a single cab long bed manual transmission 2002 Tundra so this is a HUGE upgrade for me). With this truck, I feel like there are so many new places to explore and I couldn't be more excited!

Bought a set of 5 matte black 16x8 Konig Countersteer Offroads from another TW member. Drove down to Garden Grove, got the rims and then jammed over to FN wheels in Corona (they are the Konig distributors). He said he was willing to install my existing BFG ATs on the new rims and mount them on my truck. I'm so glad I made the extra drive (Corona is like in BFE!) because he was not only super friendly and professional but meticulous and talked me through the process. He is an awesome guy to deal with, is timely with his communication and is very knowledgable. I highly recommend Konigs and I highly recommend working with Dustin, he's just a stand up guy.

First pic of the new shoes!

He also was nice enough to box up my old OR wheels and made sure I was satisfied with everything he did. His crew was exhausted from the SEMA show but made time to help me out, and for that I am grateful.

A buddy of mine installing my Wheelers 1.5" HD AAL set- he is a one man machine!

Finally level and I'm happy with it. For now…. heh heh
    [IMG]

Took it up to West Camino Cielo for a sunset run with a friend who just bought a new Tacoma
    [IMG]

Sitting on the curb- been sick and blew a disk in my back…so haven't been wheeling much :(
    [IMG]

    Softopper on
    [IMG]

Got my 1/4" aluminum Relentless IFS skid installed. The rattle can job was a PIA, next time I will just pay to get it PC'ed. Thankfully it's aluminum and I'm not too worried about my shitty paint job.

New rear suspension setup- Icon 2.0 NR extended length + OME Dakars = creamy ride in the rear!

 sweet build! I've definitely spent a fair amount of time in the Owens Valley. I never knew Cerro Gordo existed. Excited to see what's next for your build

Thanks! I have a Relentless IFS skid on the way- then it's just taking it out a lot to get the new suspension worn in, and determine if I want to take a leap to 285s. I'm quite happy with the ride currently and don't really want to lose MPG.

Cerro Gordo is a neat little town. Well preserved as it is part of history now and is supported by donations and from a private trust (I think). Very cool history there, the caretaker is an awesome story teller and a friendly dude. He lives there and upkeeps the place with his wife. Stock 2WD could make it up there although the dirt road eventually gets some bad ruts after a storm or two (which he fixes with lots of trail building and sandbags). Lots of relics, the caretaker will give you a fully narrated tour of all the buildings and surrounding minerals that are mined, and how the mine used to work (apparently it was quite a big town, couple thousand people). Awesome views of both Owen Lake area and over to Death Valley. For the more steel balled, you can take a level 5 narrow and steep dirt road (moderate to difficult) up to the salt tram where they used to send salt from Owens over to the Death Valley side, and apparently much of the top platform is still intact and offers a mind blowing and vertigo-inducing view from the top of the Eastern range looking both E and W. Pretty drive up from the highway too. I would love to go back sometime.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Looking forward to getting out and putting all my mods to use!

December dirt. Took the truck out to hit the dirt again in the local mountains. Nothing crazy but the new lift setup sure does ride nice!

Took the truck for a camping trip down to Holcomb Valley in Big Bear 2 weeks ago. Some cold nights but there was tons of dirt to play in. I'm not big into rock crawling but I love big scenery, exploring and driving down dirt roads, which there was plenty of! Here is the truck high above Baldwin Lake at the remains Doble Mine.

Camping at Holcomb Valley. We were the only ones there for the first night. It was awesome. And quite cold by cali girl standards- in the 20s at night, up to 50s during the day.

More adventures planned. Will update soon!

Nice truck! Do you mean you have the OME 885 coils? For OME coils, it goes:

    OME 884: 590# spring rate
    OME 885: 590# spring rate + 10mm longer
    OME 886: 660# spring rate

Nope I have 887 coils, for some reason people keep thinking that I have mistakenly put a 7 instead of a 5. They are designed for 4runners. YotaDan talked me into them. Same coil rate as 885s but 5mm longer so that I would keep my 2.5-3" lift even with skids and sliders.

    Here's the spec sheet

    OME 880 (16mm bar dia)(365mm 14.37in free height)(10.2 #turns)(4.7kg coil weight)(Rate: 500 lb/in 87 N/mm)

    OME 881 (16mm bar dia)(375mm 14.76in free height)(10.2 #turns)(4.7kg coil weight)(Rate: 500 lb/in 87 N/mm)

    OME 882 (16.5mm bar dia)(395mm 15.55in free height)(11.1 #turns)(5.3kg coil weight)(Rate: 500 lb/in 87 N/mm)

    OME 883 (16.5mm bar dia)(375mm 14.76in free height)(9.8 #turns)(4.7kg coil weight)(Rate: 590 lb/in 103 N/mm)

    OME 884 (16.5mm bar dia)(390mm 15.16in free height )(9.8 #turns)(4.7kg coil weight)(Rate: 590 lb/in 103 N/mm)

    OME 885 (16.5mm bar dia)(395mm 15.55in free height)(9.8 #turns)(4.7kg coil weight)(Rate: 590 lb/in 103 N/mm)

    OME 886 (17.5mm bar dia)(402mm 15.83in free height)(10.6 #turns )(5.9kg coil weight)(Rate: 660 lb/in 115 N/mm)

    OME 887 (16.5mm bar dia)(400mm 15.75in free height)(9.8 #turns )(4.7kg coil weight)(Rate: 590 lb/in 103 N/mm)

    OME 888 (16.5mm bar dia)(405mm 15.94in free height)(9.8 #turns )(4.7kg coil weight)(Rate: 590 lb/in 103 N/mm)

Whoa I didn't know the 887s were even an option!

All kudos to YotaDan. I PM'ed him one day because I knew I wanted a lift but didn't know exactly how to go about it. With the sliders on (they are about 110lbs combined) and the future skid plates I wanted to put on, I asked him if the 885s would give me enough lift without drooping due to some weight- i asked if I should just go up to 886x coils but he recommended against that without a full bumper on the front as the ride would be too stiff. And then he said try 887s, same coil rate as 885s but longer so that I would still get the 2.5-3" lift that I wanted. And so far so good, I have a leveled out truck that rides great with a great stance and the perfect amount of lift. And I haven't needed aftermarket UCAs yet, no wandering issues on the road and my alignment specs were good.
