i just want more height. I can easily cut/re weld the sliders. Im about maxing out the height with the front lift on the coilovers. Not sure if they're not tall enough for what i want or if im expecting too much.

you expect too much after that last truck. Do you weld or would you need a shop to do it? Im thinking I may go with a BL when im ready for 33s and then sell my sliders and get new ones

i got plenty of people who can and have welded.

I was afraid im expecting too much. It sucks because i like the vehicle itself, just isnt what i had which i regret but nothing i can do about it now besides trying to do what i can to the 4runner as i dont want to go back into debt as i just got out of it. Trying to mill over my options.

thats on the list but i HATE stuffed tires. Im out in the dunes too much to be stopped by ripping out my fenders anytime i screw around. Id like to get 285/70s but these Coopers are basically new.

thats about as redneck as 80% of the 4runner owners i've seen.

Put a huge bumper with a gaudy hoop on the front, some OME's and the biggest rear springs and stuff the hell out of it. Hell with travel and ride quality let alone looks.

It's a big decision for 1300 bucks. I really think the shrockworks looks the most complete though. It was down to SW and demello for me.

after seeing my friends SW bumper its too bulky for my tastes. I wouldnt mind myself getting a Demello no hoop smooth top. But then i'd have to get new coilovers because these 2.0s dont really like my 4runner already let alone added weight. Not to mention turn around time with SW, that shit would drive me insane.

Yeah. It drove me nuts with the sliders. It is definitely on the bigger side, but I think ARB and CBI are way clunkier. I saw it on Hokierunner's over the summer and I thought it just looked badass. I might color match mine though which may streamline it a bit.

It's not the coilovers, but the spring rate. Get a stiffer spring like a 650 (if yours aren't already) or a 700lb. The 2.0's should be fine with the weight you have.

So you're on 32's right now? It doesn't seem like much on paper, but it's a significant bump to go from 32's to 33's. Definitely makes the truck look bigger and feel bigger. What kind of coopers do you have?

CBI is definitely clunky. I've never been a fan of what they put out.

I might spring for the fox resi coilovers shortly and sell my W/E's. They ride great even being cranked so much and perform good just dont get me the height i need. I've debated buying a longer spring for it but i dont believe that would be an easy swap without getting it recharged and all that crap.

the springs now are #650, they just seem super faded and saggy. Id crank more to get the height i want but im afraid ill just murder my downtravel because how much they're already cranked. Im at a small 32 right now. Cooper STT's 265/70/17.

hmmm weird, my springs are 620 and I have no sag at all, solid 3+" front lift. I guess they are new

yeah prev. owner said only 14k miles on them. I think they're just a short spring type coilover not a full length one. So i have to preload it a lot to get the height i want. I only want another inch or just under out of them. That plus some bigger tires will be beefier.

Hey now those are my people you're talking about, and my rear springs, and my big tires that actually don't stuff it too terribly.

Also the CBI looks way better in person than in pictures

And I enjoy being 5'9" rather than 6'4" or whatever you are because my 4runner still looks huge
