No monies for a regear? Now seems like a great time to do it. The OEM Toyota ring gears on the TRD offroads are pretty weak/flawed it seems... I've killed 2 of them just driving around town... I've given my 4.88 Nitro's significantly more abuse for the last 10,000 miles without issue.

I'm not looking to shell out the money right now for the same damn skinny rear end. I'm gonna try and score a wider 9" at the swapmeet :D

Good point! haha I hope to go to a 9" eventually as well. How wide of one you looking to go to? Most of the ones I see around are 65" which is the same as out current rearends...

I have a R&P set, 3.73, 8" e-locker. You can have em if you you want to run 3.73 for a while.

I'm looking for something in the mid 70s

I'm not even mad I put 116K on my current gears most of which where hard miles.

That would be killer! Yeah I've been running 3.73s this whole time

Is that on the roof? Mine started on both sides about 3 years ago, only cracked and inch and hasn't spread yet.

The shitty part is there really isn't in stock 9" housings wide enough for any of our applications. If you don't want a fancy carrier you can put one together fairly inexpensive. But once you go 35 spline, nothing is reusable from a stock 3rd anyways

So true!! Im over $3,500 in to my 9 inch.
But I have a 9+ Nodular 3rd member (with bigger internal bearings)
Motive 6:00 Gears and a locker (all Currie stuff) and I had Sick Nick Truss it.
    Plus Wildwood disc brakes.
It defenetly adds up, but is the most important part of your rear end.
