Having issues with my starter

Talking about giving it a love tap?

 

I once best a starter on an Acura with a sand wedge to get it rolling and it worked

 

On Oahu, there are I think 3 dealerships, but ALL are owned by the same company.

BTW, did you know that if you get a quote from Servco on Oahu for a Toyota, Maui Toyota will beat the price by $500, and ship it free to Oahu.

 

They told me it would be 545 but that wasn't an exact quote.

 

Maybe I should get my next car from Maui

 

All Toyota Dealers in Hawaii are run by Servco. They also are the only Subaru dealers. If you want a new Toyota/Subaru anywhere in Hawaii, your dealing with Servco.

As far as them not covering the starter because its muddy. That doesn't sound right. Which location denied it?

If I were you I would take the truck to Servco Honolulu (Mapunapuna) and talk to the service manager. Make sure to wear your uniform. Who knows it just might help. If they still deny it, ask to see his supervisor and have them explain why they are denying the work. Just gotta remember to be polite. A lot of us local guys don't like getting yelled at by white guys in uniform.

Also, you can go online and get a new starter for 278.84, just gotta pay shipping.

 

I went to the one in Waipahu. I'll check out the one in Honolulu and give them a call. I hate doing that uniform but if I have to I will.
