    Some states have returnable bottles.

I feel it should be a nationwide thing.

Why the green lobby does not get on board with this has escaped me for years.

I used to cram a pack of paper matches above/under. This is my last 8-track. Nothing to play it in.

    :) I remember :

Milk in glass quart bottles on your front porch in the morning.
Being able to look at a car and know what company built it.
When all the movies and TV were black and white.
A dime bought you a candy bar, or a coke , or paid for a bus ride.
Fire alarm boxes on street light poles in your neighborhood.
Parents yelling out the back door for you to come home for dinner.
    Stores closed on Sunday.
    Radio before FM.
    Grocery stores bags before plastic.
Plastic car models with metal axles.
Match box cars before Hotwheels and Johnny Lightning came out.
    "B" size dry cell batteries.
When local TV stations had Children's shows.
When commercial flying used to be Fun.
    KEDS shoes.
Whenever a house phone rang, it was important.
    Only having 4 Grandparents.

    So many more to list............:p

I always have a paper map in the truck. You never know when the tech might fail and you will need it.

Chill man, Chill! (haha) We are not bitching and moaning, we are recalling things that have disappeared from our youth, that kids these days wouldn't even understand the CONCEPT of. I love listening to songs from the 70s and 80s being remade in today's modern music, then listening to my daughters talk about how awesome this new song is. They were shocked to hear the original. lol.

Mutual of Ohmahaaaaa is people, you can count on where you're going....

I know this will date me, but I still remember 8 inch floppies, cassette tape memory, and BEFORE the hard drive even existed with computers. (Of course like several, I can remember when COMPUTERS didn't even really exist, as far as a PC.

Trivia: Where did the term "computer bug" first come from? (No cheating and looking it up!)

Is it sad that I used to have that set? I only recognize the label. I couldn't even tell you a single title of a song. lol.

There is something about hearing the background noises in the recording studios, and the slight imperfections that truly make a song original that is much better than listening to digitally manufactured sounds and "perfect" recordings. I know years back you didn't have the money to try to record over and over until you got it right. It was too expensive. You recorded it once, and hoped it came out just right and made you famous!

Of course back then we didn't even have stereo. It was one speaker.
