One thing you can do with Discount that many don't, is negotiate with them. Do your research on "mounted" prices from on-line tire source, then add a local mount service (hell Walmart has a reasonable mounting price, don't have to go there, just use the price), and tell them to match it. I've done this several times. I've also gotten them to remove the TPS service $$$, as I tell them that they were recently changed and don't need new seals. $$$ come off and sometimes they change them anyway. Also can usually get them to remove the $$$ on the lifetime balance and rotate if you are just changing tires.

 

Don't they have a coffee and cars every month?

 

You always been able to haggle with discount. Especially over the phone. Lol the one I call always ask if the price sounds fair or not. Usually I say not and see what he does from there

I just screwed it in. you could use epoxy or some other adhesive but little screws work for me.

Face to face always works better as they know if the deal is agreed to, they do it right away. Kind of like telling a car dealer that you will leave, think about it and come back. Physical presence means I still have a chance to make a deal, phone means,,, maybe...

 

True. I went to buy my mom a mini van and after getting to a reasonable price. I asked the couple behind me what price they had got for 2 mini vans. And ther's were higher than mine lol told them I can get a better price at another dealer. So we all walked out.

 

Sales manager was pissed cause they thought they has 3 vans sold. Even chased me down to ask what happened. Told him I got a better deal over the phone from fred Haas
