    I think with the proper mount it will look good.

    If it's just bolted to the cross bar it will look ghetto/sketchy.

    Maybe see what's available from Thule or Yakima that fits the cross rail. Like the feet for a ski rack or something

    They have something from slee offroad - it's 45 bucks, then you need another mount that's 50 bucks from Yakima, all in all 110 shipped.

    I was just gonna bolt it like that - it would sit exactly like it does in the photo, you'll just see a wing nut on top. It keeps it more low profile than the Slee mounts, but I'll have to drill a hole in the cross bar which I'm fine with, no one will see it.

    Drop bracket lift and booger welds
    The 8th. Bought a telescoping go pro mount and spare battery just now that I'll be sure to bring. I really liked the shots I did showing the drivetrain and tires hanging last time we went. I want to use the telescoping mount for a closer POV to the trucks without endangering myself or making the driver nervous.
